Annual Report (2022 - 2023)

With great pleasure we present to you the Annual report for the year 2022-23.

“True Education takes place only when it goes hand in hand with spiritual knowledge. Otherwise education is reduced to a mere collection of information”.

With this vision, Amrita Vidyalayam, Nallampalayam works towards its mission. They harbor on blending, spirituality, academics and sports in the right proportion.

Disruption in education system over the past two years due to pandemic had imperiled children’s overall well-being and development and Tailoring students to readjust and catch up was the main aim of the institution when the School reopened for the Academic year 2022-23.Bridge courses were conducted in the month of April-2022 to take care of their psychological well-being and recover learning losses.


ACADEMICS

“Success is a result of perfection,Hardwork, learning from failure, loyalty and persistence”.Amritians persisted and excelled in the CBSE class X and XII Board Examinations held in the month of April 2022 and produced good results. It was a cent percent success in class X and 97.7% in class XII respectively.Annamalai J produced 485/500 and topped the school in class X and Anjana CV procured 482/500 and topped in class XII. We the staff and students congratulate the students for their excellent performance and wish them a bright future.

To make children active learners through activity based learning is the objective of the school and this also helps in reinforcing cognitive skills and enhance the confidence level. Various colors Day celebrations were observed in KG. These days were special days for them full of fun and enthusiasm.

Summer camp with a lot of sports activities was held between April and May. Games like Basketball, Football, Skating, Volleyball, Chess, Kabaddi were opened up. Karate and Silambam too were a part of the camp. At the end of the camp children were given opportunity to further develop their self-confidence as they were taken on a Trekking to Marudhamalai.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Co-curricular activities in school help to hone the talents of young minds and give them an opportunity to develop their specialized skills. Coimbatore Sahodaya Complex conducted a number of Inter School competitions. Declamation, Storytelling, Art and Craft, Singing, Spell-bee, Creative writing, Public Speaking, Yoga, Extempore were some of the competitions in which our students participated and won prizes.

“Art is magical but it is not magic”.

Artists have the talent to hammer and shape their imaginations. We do have good artist amongst, our jewels. Many of our students participated in “Aristo 2022” – National level Online Drawing competition and Aarudha VN of UKG F won 2ndprize at National level. Sri Harini of Class VII participated in Art competition based on Energy conservation at State level and bagged the first place with a cash award of 50,000/- She was selected for National level.

NizhalMaiyam organized District level drawing competition and Pooja of LKG D won 1st prize with a cash award of Rs.7,500/- and Muthumonisha of UKG B won 3rd prize with a cash award of Rs.2,500/-.

Tamilnadu Agricultural College conducted AgriTech Manifest 2022 in which our students participated and won prizes in Painting, Spell Bee and Quiz.

Intra School Competitions are held round the year for children of all classes from Pre-primary to senior secondary to instill discipline in them and develop various life skills.

“We live in an era where strategic thinking and smart work are essential to run the race of life”.

Students are prepared for such skill by exposing them to Olympiad Exams. Unified Council Olympiad Exam for Science, English, Maths and Cyber were held andin Unified Cyber Olympiad Lekashree R of Grade9  stood first at Zone 6 level which is Tamilnadu.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

“Overpower, Overtake, Overcome say sporters”

 Sports and Games enhance social relationship and also help to develop mental growth and increase the power of reasoning of students. Sports play an inevitable role in the life of students and Amrita Vidyalayam acknowledges it. Regular games period where students play sports of their liking is a routine from Class I to Class XII. Coaching is also given to help students specialize in these games.

The School Sports Day is a red letter day in the School calendar. It was held on December 1st 2022. ThiruMathivannan, Deputy Commissioner of Police, North Coimbatore was the Chief Guest of the grand event. Students on the ground proved that School is not just academic achievement but it also winning medals and trophies and gaining recognition among classmates. It was a total display of enthusiasm and energy.

“Kabaddi is breath of Amrita VidyalayamSporters”. The Inter School Kabaddi Girls Tournament conducted by Coimbatore Sahodaya schools complex was held in the Vidyalaya this year. Our girls team emerged out as Overall champions after bagging winner shield in three categories. They have been Clinchers of this shield for the past five years in Coimbatore sahodaya schools Complex. They participated in the CBSE cluster Tournament which includes Pondicherry, Tamilnadu& Andaman and have emerged as Runners this year. They have been the winners of this shield for the past five years.

Our Boys teams are equally matchless. They have also proved themselves in Coimbatore sahodaya schools complex by clinching the winner shield in under 19 category and runner trophy in under 17 & 14 category. They won the 3rd place in CBSE cluster Tournament in under 19category.

We have sporters of other games like Taekwondo and skating too among our group. In CBSE – South zone Taekwondo Sanjay of Grade 9 bagged the championship for the year 2022. Tamilnadu Roller Skating association conducted state levelTournament and BS Kavinaya of Grade 7 won 2 gold medals and one silver medal. She has been selected for National level.

Our sporters have set their imprint into Coimbatore Sahodaya Complex Inter school sports competition too. They have won prizes in Badminton Tournament, Swimming, Teakwondo, Skating and Chess.












CELEBRATIONS

Celebrations form an integral part of any educational institution for education is not just about going to school but widening your knowledge and absorbing the truth of life.

International Yoga Day was observed on June21st and emphasis was laid on the health and harmony that one can attain by practising Yoga. Students of Secondary section commemorated this event with their wonderful performance.

The 76th Independence Day was celebrated with pride and honour. The Tricolour flag was hoisted by our Correspondent who later gave a very thoughtful message to the students. It was marked by song and dance programme too.

Youth age is the right time to learn about spiritual guidelines and values to take them in the right path. In accordance to this, Guru Poornima is celebrated in the Vidyalayam with Full spirit. Children learn to pay respect to their parents by doing Pathapooja for them and thank them for the love and care shown. This year too Guru Poornima was celebrated on15th July from 9.00am to 3.30pm. We had parents of Pre-primary to senior secondary filled with tears of happiness to see their wards fulfilling their duties as children.

Mata Amritanandamayi the founder of the group of Amrita Vidyalayam spent her early life meditating fervently praying to Krishna and overwhelmed by divine bliss identified herself with Lord Krishna. So Krishna Jayanthi is celebrated in a grand manner. Song and dance competition bringing out the life of Mata Amritanandamayi and Lord Krishna marks the celebration.

“Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body” –  A three day  Book Fair on the theme “Reading India Event 2022” organized by the Ministry of India and culture Development, was held in the Vidyalayam.  Children were allowed to pick up books of their choice. The habit of reading was further triggered through this.

An insight into our rich culture and heritage was given to children by observing Navaratri festival .Our School adorned a festive look. Dolls were arranged according to tradition & religious faith and hyms sung in praise of Goddess Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswathi. The festival culminated with a special Vijayadashamipooja. On this day Young Children were introduced into the world of Knowledge, letters and process of learning in the name of Vidyarambam.

There is no age limit for learning. Teachers, too are students so Teacher’s workshops are conducted through the year. This gives them professional assistance to be better teachers. It is a continuous process in our Vidyalaya.











































All good work of the school has been possible with the cooperation of our highly qualified and dedicated faculty. Our Thanks to the management for her able guidance and encouragement. Her support has enabled the school to come this far.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the parents of our students who have shown unflinching faith in us by giving us the profound opportunity to transform their children into truly useful citizens of future world.

Let us foresee a world where our children are going to be the propellant of change in the coming years.
